Hello, I'm Veronica.

I am a photographer from Illinois just striving to take the best photo, every time I take a photo! I've been taking pictures since about middle school, and professionally for 6 years. While earning my Bachelor's of Arts degree, I took many drawing and painting classes. These reinforced my understanding and appreciation for classical pillars of art such as composition, color, and focus. Of course, I enjoyed my photography classes as well. They were my first dive into the more complicated side of the camera. We got into the nitty gritty of different depths of focus, f-stops, and shutter speed. If possible, I would've taken nearly every art class offered. I loved them so much!

Nowadays, I am a wife and a mom to one boy and one girl. We have 2 former shelter dogs and an adopted ex-race horse. I love taking my girl, Velvet, out to ride, I love our annual family camping trips and alllll the coffee and chocolate. My husband and I also recently bought a fixer-upper farmhouse. As he likes to remind me, I've always wanted a house I could make all my own, a la the HGTV shows. But, boy, what a journey we have ahead! 

I love being behind my camera, and I am passionate about capturing real family interaction in a beautiful way. Merriam-Webster states that a legacy is "something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past." This is exactly what your photographs will be when we work together to create beautiful and memorable family photos.
